On the 30th July approximately 30 employees of Baxalta set off from Staines and cycled 240 miles in 3 days reaching the base of the Eiffel Tower on the third day.
The Baxalta London to Paris Cycling Challenge benefitted several charities of which PID UK was one. PIDUK is set to receive £2,720 from the funds raised, for which we are extremely grateful. This money will mean we can continue to offer support and information to patients with primary immunodeficiency.
Nicole Farmer, Baxalta UK’s Managing Director said “This has been an amazing exercise in demonstrating what can be achieved by losing self-imposed limiting beliefs and the power that comes from being part of a united team. But most importantly, it has demonstrated our passion for our purpose of improving patients’ lives.”
