Running for a Cause Close to Home

Katie has an immunodeficiency, so she knew she wanted to do something to support others facing similar challenges. She rallied her husband Andy and sister Jackie, and together they took on an incredible feat – the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

Despite the gruelling training and 13.1-mile race distance, this trio was determined to cross that finish line for Immunodeficiency UK. Katie’s condition gave them an up-close perspective on just how vital the charity’s work is for those living with primary and secondary immunodeficiencies.

Their dedication and commitment paid off in a huge way. Katie, Andy, and Jackie’s outstanding fundraising efforts raised over £2,300, including Gift Aid! These funds will directly benefit Immunodeficiency UK’s mission of supporting and empowering the immunodeficiency community.

We are in awe of this family’s achievements and cannot thank them enough for choosing to champion our cause. Their fundraiser is a shining example of how ordinary people can make an extraordinary impact.

From all of us at Immunodeficiency UK, thank you Katie, Andy and Jackie! Your efforts have inspired us and will improve so many lives touched by these conditions.
